In conducting executive search assignments Eric Salmon & Partners relies on information provided by external contacts, publicly available information and information already held on the firm's internal database.

The firm regularly receives unsolicited CVs from executives wishing to consider a possible career move. In doing so the executives acknowledge that such information will be retained so that they may be considered for any opportunities which may arise.

At Eric Salmon & Partners we recognise the importance of confidentiality in everything we do. As members of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) we take great care to comply with the AESC Code of Conduct on Data Protection as well as appropriate data protection legislation, including the European Directive of 24th October, 1995, and any other applicable national legislation on data protection.

Eric Salmon & Partners adheres to the AESC code of practice governing ethics in our industry. This precludes entering into discussion whilst a candidate is working in a client company.

The firm's policy on Data Protection is quite clear:

We do not collect or store data other than for the purpose of our primary business, namely executive search or management assessment.

The personal data we collect is only that which is adequate, relevant and appropriate in relation to executive search or management assessment.

We will not share confidential information from candidates with our clients unless the individual considered is aware of this and has given his/her unambiguous consent.

We take every care to ensure that confidential information held about individuals is appropriately protected against unauthorised access or disclosure through technical or other organisational security measures.

Individuals who submit a CV to Eric Salmon & Partners via this website do so on the understanding that this information will be accessible to all of the firm's offices, and also that no details will be passed to clients or other third parties without the consent of the individual concerned.

Our clients also understand and acknowledge that they will adhere to equivalent standards of privacy and confidentiality.
